The Store You Can Talk To: Why We Went Voice-First
Most e-commerce is a catalog with a checkout button. We built something different: a store where the first interface is a conversation — and your voice never leaves your device.

Every e-commerce site on earth works the same way: a grid of products, a search bar, a cart icon. We looked at that and asked a different question — what if the store just listened?
Shopping is a conversation, not a spreadsheet
Walk into a real store and nobody hands you a filter panel. You say what you're looking for, somebody who knows the floor answers, and if you pick something up they tell you what goes with it. That's what we built. Press the mic — or hit V — and talk:
- “Show me hoodies” — the shop filters itself.
- “Add the Mark Hoodie, size large” — it's in your cart. Skip the size and it asks.
- “What goes with this?” — the concierge suggests the piece that completes the drop. Say yes and it's yours; say no and it moves on.
- “Check out” — done.
Your voice stays on your device. Period.
Here's the part most voice products don't want to discuss: their 'AI assistant' usually means your audio gets shipped to a server farm. Ours doesn't. Speech recognition runs inside your browser using the Web Speech API — your device does the listening, and the only thing our server ever sees is the text of a command, identical to if you'd typed it.
Same for analytics. Every pageview and voice command lands in a database we own and host — no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no third-party trackers anywhere on this site. IPs are stored as salted hashes. You can export or purge everything from the owner panel.
Why this matters beyond one store
We think voice-first commerce is where independent retail is heading — a concierge for a store of one brand, not a search engine for ten thousand. Radical ownership isn't just about masters and publishing; it's about owning your customer's experience end to end. When you control the interface, the data, and the relationship, nobody can put a toll booth between you and the people who believe in what you make.
Try it yourself: press V and say “show me what's new.”
